Clara Montford writes Regency romance because she has never lost her love of the period. Jane Austen’s novels remain among her favourite books, and she still reaches for nineteenth-century fiction more often than contemporary romance.

When she isn’t writing, she enjoys sewing and working on a variety of creative projects, usually while thinking about her next story.
